Portugal Premier makes special visit to Colombo Port

The visiting Portugal Prime Minister Pedro Passos Coelho yesterday made a special tour of the Colombo Port. Coelho was on an official tour to Sri Lanka on a special invitation by the Government. He was warmly received by Sri Lanka Ports Authority Chairman Dr. Priyath B. Wickrama. During the visit the Portugal Premier discussed maritime developments relevant to both nations. He also visited the historic Portugal Rock imprint currently erected at the compound of the SLPA Chairman’s Office. The Portugal Rock imprint was established here during Portugal’s rule of the country. Senior officers of the SLPA and the diplomatic delegation accompanying the Portugal Prime Minister were also associated during the visit and discussion.
