PIL picks JCT for new service

Pacific International Lines re-commenced to induct Colombo call in their East Africa/Far East Service (EA2) with the Jaya Container Terminal (JCT) of Sri Lanka Ports Authority (SLPA) with the MV Wehr Rissen calling at the JCT of SLPA on Friday, 29 July 2011. The service will deploy 6 vessels on a frequency of weekly West Bound and East Bound calls on Fridays. Pacific International Lines had expressed their preference this service to call at the JCT upon the clear sign of satisfaction over the level of service provided by JCT of SLPA. The new service is also expected offer faster and reliable option to Sri Lankan importers from the Far East to Sri Lankan exporters to East Africa while attracting new transhipment via Colombo from and to Indian Sub-continent ports
