Passenger traffic at Asia Pacific airports up 6.7% in October

According to data compiled by ACI Asia Pacific, airports in the Middle East reported passenger traffic growth of 6.9%, while those in Asia Pacific reported a growth of 6.7% for the month of October 2015.

A number of major airports in China generated double digit growth: Shanghai Pudong (PVG) +12.5%, Chengdu (CTU) +10%, Kunming (KMG) +22%.

Elsewhere in the region, New Delhi (DEL) reported +16.2% increase, while passenger traffic at Bangalore (BLR) airport grew +22% supported by strong economic growth in India.

In October 2015, freight volumes were essentially flat in Asia Pacific +0.7% but increased slightly in the Middle East +2.2%.
