OVIKLO International achieves ISO 9001:2008 certification

OVIKLO International Ltd, a full-range of logistic service provider, has attained ISO 9001:2008 certification for the provision of logistic services including warehousing, Inventory Management, Documentation, Quality control and Reporting. The certification was awarded by SGS Lanka the local representative of Société Générale de Surveillance-Geneva Switzerland by following multiple site audits. SGS Lanka Business Manager Sumanasiri Batuvita handed over the ISO certificate to OVIKLO ISO committee chairman Ruwan Wickramasingha. The committee members Navoda Gamage, Roshan De Silva and Jagath Kumburu Gamage also participated. “OVIKLO established in 2008 and achieved several tasks during her short history. We are therefore pleased to have achieved recognition of our work so far, and look forward to further ISO and other certification of the other facets of our integrated management system,” says Head of Operations, Ruwan Wickramasingha. “This achievement shows OVIKLO’s commitment to providing the highest quality services to our clients, and underscores our efforts to continuously improve our systems and services.” He maintained that organisation with long-term view towards delivering quality and continuous improvement of its strategic goal may be the only strategy for survival and competition. The company that would deliver optimal value to customers would be those that establish and implement a robust quality management framework, for effective performance, increased internal efficiency and improvement of customer’s business. The ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System approach provides a globally recognised and acceptable solution to the challenges associated with the managing quality and to delivering excellent customer experience,” he said. Wickramasinghe further said that OVIKLO has shifted emphasis from conformity to rules and regulations to the establishment of a system that delivers actual performance outputs and which provide for continuous improvement. Reiterating that the morale behind the certification is customer satisfaction, which was embarked on to improve services, he said he was confident that more improvement would come from warehouse operations and become a market leader in the industry near future. OVIKLO established customer base in almost every industry FMCG, Telecommunication, Chemical, Construction, Manufacturing, Automobile, Pharmaceutical and personal baggage. Currently OVIKLO operate nine distribution centers in western province and encompass more than 400,000 square feet of clean and secure storage space. OVIKLO knowledge and experience helped secure many multinational and local clients during its few years in operations in Sri Lanka.
