Mihin Lanka’s newly acquired Airbus A 320-200 on Saturday made its inaugural flight to Buddhagaya.
The milestone was blessed by leaders of all religions. Mahasangha led by Chief Incumbent of Katunayaka Bodhi Rathanaramaya Ven Amandolouwe Dhammarathana Thera chanted Seth Pirith on board the aircraft and blessed the crew. Liyanagemulla Parish Priest Rev.
Fr. V.R.Lesley de Silva and Kurukkal of the Kapithanwatta Kovil Rev. S.S.Jayaram performed religious rituals and blessed the aircraft.
Deputy Civil Aviation Minister Priyankara Jayaratne, Airport and Aviation Sri Lanka Deputy Chairman Kamal Ratwatta, Mihin Lanka CEO Kapila Chandrasena, Head Pilot Pujitha Jayakoday and several senior officials of the airline including Rohana Pererea, Sujeewa Swaris, Rangi Perera, Ingrid Guruge, Gamini Abeywardene were present at the occasion.
