Martiair Cargo starts Dubai operations

Martinair Cargo, a leading cargo carrier based in Netherlands, has announced the launch of its operations from Dubai World Central (DWC), a strategically important commercial infrastructure development in the region.

Martinair’s inaugural flight, a leased KLM aircraft, landed recently at the DWC terminal.

The DWC, a 140 sq km multi-phase development will also boast of the world’s biggest airport, DWC-Al Maktoum International Airport.

Welcoming the debut flight, DWC said Martinair was the latest member that had joined its growing family of freight carriers. Martinair, which operates scheduled and charter services on a network covering almost all continents, will fly six times a week to DWC on a Boeing 747.
