Top professional Kanchana Ratwatte has been picked as the new Chairman for the national line Ceylon Shipping Corporation Ltd. (CSC).

He was previously the Chairman of Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI).

Ratwatte will be replacing Prasad Galhena, who is expected to be appointed as Chairman of National Gem and Jewellery Authority.

Peiris when the latter was Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs and Deputy Finance Minister.

In the private sector he was a Director at E-WIS Group, specialist in ICT sector.
