Hapag-Lloyd has announced the implementation of an 8th vessel to its Indian Ocean Service (IOS).
The new schedule will be effective with the sailing of ‘Tessa’ (voyage 2235) from Hamburg 31 August.
With the necessary adjustments of the berthing windows, also the rotation at the North Continent ports had to be changed.
The new rotation will be as follows: Hamburg, Antwerp, Tilbury, Tangier, Cagliari, Jeddah, Jebel Ali, Karachi, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Jeddah, Cagliari and Hamburg.
“The investment of an extra ship is being undertaken in response to port congestion, schedule reliability, emission reduction and a strong desire to ensure a reliable fixed day weekly service,” Habag-Lloyd said.
