Sri Lankan based supply chain logistics provider Eagle Logistics will be organising their second supply chain forum which will be held at the Board of Investment auditorium on 12 September at Seethawaka Industrial zone in Avissawella. This will be for the benefit of companies which are interested in supply chain management. Eagle Logistics Colombo CEO Asanga Weerackody stated, “Supply Chain Management encompasses the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities. So logistics and freight forwarding is just another part of supply chain management and it is important that we understand the total process in order to be a service provider in this chain. This is one of the reasons Eagle Logistics Colombo is a member of ISMM (Institute of Supply and Material Management of Sri Lanka) as well. This program will be jointly held with Institute of Supply and Material Management (ISMM) and Board of Investment of Sri Lanka. ISMM Vice President Gayani De Alwis will be conducting the forum to introduce the ‘Importance of Supply Chain Management in an organisation’ to the audience while Coca Cola Sri Lanka Head of supply chain Indika Perera will be joining as the guest speaker to share his experience on supply chain management.
