DHL Express Sri Lanka wins coveted 2016 Stevie Awards for service excellence

  • Prestigious Silver and Bronze wins for customer service 

  • Deutsche Post DHL Group is awarded Most Honoured Organisation of the year 

DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has announced that its Sri Lanka Customer Service Team has triumphed in the Stevie Award 2016 competition, under the Customer Service Category. The company was honoured with Silver for ‘Customer Service Department of the Year’ and Bronze for ‘Customer Service Team of the Year’. All winners will be recognised at a gala event on 21 October in Rome, Italy. 

“We are very proud of the recognition our Customer Service Team has received from an awarding body as prestigious as the Stevie Awards. It is an affirmation of the high quality of work they consistently and passionately deliver, focusing unrelentingly on the little details that drive overall customer experience,” said DHL Express Sri Lanka Country Manager Dimithri Perera.

On top of that, DHL Express Sri Lanka was also adjudged as the winner in the ‘International Stevies’ or International Business Awards, the world’s only international, all-encompassing business awards program.

Created in 2002 and recognised today as the world’s coveted premier business accolades, the Stevie Awards honour and acknowledge the achievements and positive contributions of organisations and working professionals worldwide. The Awards comprise seven programs, each with its own focus, list of categories and winners. Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners were selected from more than 3,800 nominations received from organisations and individuals in over 60 nations. Winners were determined after a two month judging period by the average scores of more than 200 professionals worldwide.

With a total of 62 award points earned by the Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie-winning entries submitted by DHL offices in 21 nations, Deutsche Post DHL Group was also the proud winner of the Grand Stevie Award trophy as the Most Honoured Organisation of the year.
