CMA CGM Group goes for new rate restoration

Global giant CMA CGM Group last week announced a new rate restoration program effective July 1st 2011.

From Asia (including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to North Europe (including UK and Baltic countries):

In response to the on-going deterioration of revenues on the Asia - North Europe Trade, CMA CGM Group has decided to implement as from 01/07/2011 a “Rate Restoration” of USD 275 per TEU* applicable on all shipments from Asia (including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to North Europe (including UK and Baltic countries).

CMA CGM said further adjustments might follow at a later stage to raise our revenues at a sustainable level again.

  • From Asia to the East Coast of South America:
  • USD 500 per TEU
  • From Asia to the West Coast of South America, Central America and Mexico:
  • USD 500 per TEU
  • From Asia to the Caribbean and Panama:
  • u USD 490 per 20’
  • uUSD 700 per 40’
  • From Asia to Mozambique (including landlocked countries serviced via Mozambique corridors):
  • USD 200 per TEU applicable on all shipments
  • From North Europe to Mexico Gulf, for all shipment except reefers:
  • USD 150 per 20’
  • USD 225 per 40’
  • From North Europe to the Caribbean and Central America, for all shipment except reefers:
  • EUR 150 per TEU
  • From Europe to the West Coast of South America:
  • EUR 150 per TEU
  • From Pakistan and India to North Europe and Mediterranean destinations:
  • USD 250 per 20’
  • USD 500 per 40’
  • From Arab Gulf to North Europe and Mediterranean destinations:
  • USD 150 per 20’
  • USD 250 per 40’
