Local transport and logistics company Pership has announced its partnership with global industry giant DSV with the official launch of DSV Pership.
DSV is a Danish logistics and transport company offering worldwide services in land, sea, air and rail transport, supply chain and freight forwarding.
Speaking at the launch, DSV Air and Sea Indian Subcontinent Regional Director Sameer Khatri said: “It is an honour to witness the launch of DSVPership.We believe that the only way we can continue to grow is through partnership by constantly creating new value to our customers.”
Khatri also mentioned that as the supply chain remains a key factor in determining the competitive edge of a company, it is imperative that a corporation has a suitable supply chain partner.
“As a company that has grown exponentially within the past few years, we are able to create value in technology, infrastructure, and productivity, and in ensuring that we build a strong supply chain and a competitive solution for our clients,” Khatri affirmed.
Pership Group Chairman Manik Perera, speaking on the establishment of DSV Pership, said that DSV is one of the largest logistics companies in the world, and this is a major step forward for Pership. “This is one of the best partnerships we have had in our long history,” he noted, adding that DSV continues to lead Pership as an expert in supply chain and freight forwarding.
Pership is a local company established in 1889, providing services in sea transportation, warehousing contract logistics, terminal management, freight forwarding, property development, and container conversions.
DSV is a logistics and transport company founded in 1976 in Denmark. It is currently present in 88 countries and has over 45,000 employees globally. Since its establishment it has gone through a series of mergers and acquisitions to maintain a key position in the global transport industry – the biggest merger being the acquisition of US based UTI Worldwide Inc. in 2016, turning it into one of the largest freight forwarding companies in the world.
