DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, clinched Gold for ‘Customer Services Department of the Year’ for its Sri Lankan office at the 14th Annual International Business Awards announced by Stevie Awards USA.
DHL Express Sri Lanka’s bid for ‘Customer Service Excellence’ under the Transportation category was evaluated based on Customer Centricity and Quality, Learning and Development, Management of Voice of Customers, Revenue Generation Programs, Employment Engagement Activities and Reward and Recognition.
“We are honoured and humbled to win the Gold Stevie Award handpicked from among 3,900 nominees. Our high scores across several of the criteria reaffirm our enduring promise of providing superior customer service and continuous pursuit of service excellence,” said DHL Express Sri Lanka Country Manager Dimithri Perera. DHL Express Sri Lanka’s customer service team was recognised at the 2016 Stevie Awards, by winning Silver for ‘Customer Service Department of the Year’ and Bronze for ‘Customer Service Team of the Year’. DHL Express Worldwide has also been adjudged among the Top 10 Grand Winners of 2017 Best of the International Business Awards, with over 15 DHL entities worldwide recognised for their Customer Service Excellence, underscoring the company’s relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction and prioritising service excellence.
The International Business Awards (IBAs) is the world’s premier business awards program. All individuals and organisations worldwide – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small – are eligible to submit nominations. The 2017 IBAs received entries from more than 60 nations and territories. Nicknamed the ‘Stevies’ after the Greek word for ‘crowned’, the awards will be presented to winners at a gala awards banquet at the W Hotel in Barcelona, Spain on 21 October 2017.
Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie winners were selected from more than 3,900 nominations received from organisations and individuals across 60 nations worldwide. All organisations are eligible to compete in the IBAs and can submit entries in a range of categories including management, company of the year, marketing, public relations, customer service, human resources, new products, IT, website and more. Stevie Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 200 executives worldwide who participated on 12 juries.
