Event will discuss how a ‘Connected Business’ seamlessly integrates people, processes, and data
WSO2, a leading global enterprise middleware company, said Wednesday that it was hosting a user conference, WSO2Con Asia 2014, in Colombo, Sri Lanka for the third time. This year’s theme will be ‘Building a Connected Business’.
The conference will be held from 24 to 26 March at Waters Edge, Battaramulla, and will include a full day of in-depth, pre-conference tutorials conducted by WSO2 speakers, and a 2-day conference comprising keynotes and technical sessions by external as well as WSO2 speakers.
“The most recent events in London and San Francisco were a great success with attendees commending on the technology insights gained on being a connected business. We now bring the same great talks to Asia together with more networking opportunities,” says WSO2 Conference Chairperson and Senior Marketing Officer Tasha Hettiarachchi.
All of the conference talks and hands-on tutorials will showcase how a connected business seamlessly integrates people, process, and data across an extended value chain, decreases interaction cost, and automatically adapts business activity in response to market events.
The sessions will focus on:
New enterprise integration architectures
Cloud technologies that transform application delivery
Enterprise mobility solutions
Enhancing business opportunities with big data analysis, enterprise governance and security
Agile enterprise application development platform
WSO2 founder, chairman and CEO Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana said, “The objective of these conferences is to provide participants a great opportunity to learn how connected businesses can grow revenue and outperform peers by increasing customer engagement, enhancing productivity, and seizing market opportunity. Participants generally include existing as well as potential customers.”
WSO2Con Asia 2014 will be followed by WSO2Con Europe 2014, taking place in Barcelona, Spain in June, and WSO2Con USA 2014, taking place in San Francisco in October.
“Our customer portfolio has grown in recent years not only in numbers, but in terms of geographical representation as well; therefore, we felt there was a need to host this conference in the top three regions where we have a presence,” adds Weerawarana.
Among the external keynote speakers at the Asia event are Dialog Axiata PLC Sri Lanka Director/Group Chief Executive Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya and Commonwealth Bank Head of Innovation and Digital Financial Services Technology, Asia Rana Peries.
Hettiarachchi added that in addition to participants from corporates in Sri Lanka as well as across the region, WSO2 will also give up to 50 university students from Sri Lanka a special rate to attend the event.
Post the technical sessions, each day will conclude with an evening networking event with live entertainment and opportunity for participants to meet like-minded peers and discuss thoughts. ReadMe and DiGit are online media sponsors, and SLASSCOM has partnered with WSO2 to promote the event.
