The true meaning of Aluth Avurudu observed on the Paradise Beach

“Our Avurudu started from 10 April with the whole family partaking in traditional games like  kotta pora, kana mutti, blind feeding the blind, sack races, Avurudu kumaraya and kumara, obstacle races, bun eating competition and other traditional activities,” said Anura Dewapura, General Manager of MLH.

The evening was wonderful with kids of all ages enjoying the traditions of Avurudu. As one parent stated: “It is nice to know that traditions that are slowly dwindling can be revived and enjoyed in a wonderful way as done by MLH. Great job.” Here is how parents and kids enjoyed the evening
