Known for its star class cuisine, the next innovative food promotion introduces a buffet of steaks and accompaniments from 18 - 20 November. Set upon the Terrace, an extension of the hit restaurant
7 Degrees North that overlooks the pool, steaks will be grilled before guests by the hotel’s Chefs.
You might wander “How can one enjoy a steak buffet? Isn’t that unheard of?” Well, Executive Chef Wasantha has made it possible so as to give you a taste of the many types of steaks you have been longing to try! A variety of tender steaks will be specially flown in from Australia and New Zealand for the occasion and diners will be presented with an enticing selection to choose from. Rib Eye, Sirloin, Tenderloin, Beef Tournedos or Lamb Chops will be grilled to order. An ample selection of sauces ranging from Red Wine Sauce, Cracked Black Pepper Sauce, Mushroom Sauce, Béarnaise Sauce, Mustard Sauce, Tabasco Sauce, Lea & Perry Sauce and BBQ sauce will be available to enhance each preparation.
Always giving guests more than they bargained for, Cinnamon Lakeside Colombo, will provide an entire buffet of dishes to complement the steaks. Beginning on a light note with an assortment of cold cuts, smoked beef salad with gherkins, roasted spring chicken salad with pineapple, balsamic grilled vegetables, Swiss potato salad, Caesar’s salad with condiments, assorted crispy greens and Creole style baked beans with tangy vinaigrette, the menu continues with a brown onion soup with cheddar toast.
It is advised to skip a meal earlier that day because a chicken lasagna, whipped potato mash, baked potatoes with accompaniments, marinated grilled tomatoes, assorted buttered vegetables, mix beans ragout, sautéed mushrooms and garlic bread follows along with the steaks. Completing the culinary experience of the night, a dessert buffet laden with an assortment of sweet treats are yours to indulge in, in addition to a lip smacking crepe suzette counter.
