As part of its mission to establish marketing as the driving force of the country, the national body of marketers, Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM) takes various initiatives to encourage networking within the fraternity. Opening of the SLIM Members lounge is one of the key steps towards this mission.
SLIM President Rohan Somawansa stated: “SLIM is the national forum where all marketers get together and contribute to the development of our mother land at different layers. Hence it is our responsibility to encourage these great initiatives by facilitating networking, knowledge sharing among the fraternity. The SLIM Members lounge opening is another great initiative where our past presidents, fellows and ordinary members are given the benefit to use this lounge in their marketing initiatives.”
SLIM offers many benefits and value adds to its members throughout the year. Events, versatile programmes, knowledge sharing sessions and trainings are a few. Members are an integral part of SLIM, driving the institute towards its vision and objectives. Currently, SLIM has over 800 members which include honorary members, fellows, ordinary members and associates. Many new initiatives are in line for proving more benefits to the SLIM members.
The opening ceremony of the SLIM Members Lounge is scheduled to be held at the SLIM home premises today (3 February) at 6:30 p.m. The President and the council of SLIM takes pleasure in inviting all members to the memorable occasion.
