Seminar on Japanese ‘Super 5S’ to create a world class workplace

A seminar on Super 5S will be held on 21 June, organised by BizEx consulting Ltd.

It will focus on the more advanced applications of Super 5S and explain the practical aspects of implementation. At the end of the seminar participants will be able to implement the technique from the very next day.

Sunil Wijesinha will present the seminar. He was the first to conduct seminars on 5S as far back as 1994, and has been trained in Japan on many Japanese management techniques including 5S. He has been closely associating with Japanese experts on account of his involvement with JASTECA for many years and where he was President of JASTECA. He also worked with Japanese experts in a manufacturing company with Japanese ownership.

Wijesinha was also instrumental in initiating the Taiki Akimoto 5S award, and has assisted the Tamil Nadu AOTS alumni association to initiate their 5S award. He has conducted 5S seminars in India, Pakistan and Mauritius.

He is not only a trainer but has implemented 5S in the places he had worked, and therefore able to bring many real life examples from manufacturing, banking, and service organisations, and share anecdotes of the issues he faced during implementation. Wijesinha has also conducted 5S certification courses on behalf of JATECA through which around 30 trainers have been certified.
