(Reuters) - Shipping Corp of India said last week it will raise freight rates on cargo moving from the Indian subcontinent to the European and Mediterranean ports by $200 per twenty-foot equivalent units from 1 March.
The increase is for all bookings to North Europe, the UK, Mediterranean and Black Sea routes, the company said in a statement.
The rates were being increased to meet the overall operations costs, it added.
