Sasi to head VMW Travels as CEO

Travel trade veteran Sasi Ganeshan is to lead VMS Travels to its next growth phase as the Chief Executive Officer.

The new appointment follows Sasi finishing a productive and long 32 year career at Aitken Spence Aviation which is the General Sales Agent for Singapore Airlines for 40 years running. In addition to serving as Managing Director of Aitken Spence Aviation, Sasi was also the Managing Director of Aitken Spence Overseas Travels the outbound arm of the blue chip. He also served on the Aitken Spence Group Board.

An industry leader VMS is distinguished by almost 40 “top agent” awards from leading international carriers. VMS Air Services was established on 24 February 1995. In 1999 the company became the general sales agents for the second airline Ethiopian Airlines for both passenger and cargo sales covering Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

VMS Travels has two offices in Colombo one at Hotel Galadari and the other at Bambalaptiya. It also has an office in Toronto, Canada.
