Popular demand prompts HSBC to extend free fuel offer

HSBC’s ‘Free Fuel for One Year,’ campaign has been extended to the 28 February, owing to high customer demand. The promotion, which began in October 2010, has become a huge success, resulting in weekly winners being selected for free fuel rebates throughout 2011.

2010 winners included Shamalee A. Yapa, D.M.P. Welikala, K. Gayani Abeywickrama, D.K. Nuwanjith Senadeera, A. Wijesinghe, U.G. Wijesiri, D.M.S.J.K. Dassanayake, B.A. Gunawardena, H.S. Gunasekera, Rupasena and C.R. Suraj De Silva, who were selected through 11 weekly draws.

With the extension of the promotion up to 28 February 2011, this year’s first weekly winner was A. Reahan Machado.

Nadeesha Senaratne, Head of Cards and Consumer Assets, HSBC stated: “The free fuel campaign has been a tremendous success, giving cardholders a worthwhile benefit to enjoy free fuel for one year. We want our customers to feel rewarded each time they use their HSBC credit card on daily essentials and in-turn stand to gain immensely. Suffice to say, the HSBC credit card has become the one card for home and away, as it provides benefits and privileges both locally and overseas.”

The ongoing promotion promises to reward weekly winners with four times their weekly fuel spend with a maximum rebate of Rs. 25,000 per month.

HSBC’s free fuel campaign is one of many popular promotions designed to reward credit cardholders with benefits that are second to none.
