Dr Parakrama Dissanayake – Chairman. Aitken Spence Maritime and Director, Aitken Spence PLC, has been invited to address the Port Finance International India Conference which will be held in Mumbai on the 19th & 20th January at the Novotel Juhu Beach Hotel.
His topic at the above Conference will be on “Public Private Partnership – Sri Lanka Ports sector – its Challenges and Opportunities –some real life experiences”.
Amongst those who would address this Conference are - Paul Clark MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Transport, U.K., Dr. Rainer Scholl, Partner, Port Management, HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH, Capt. Ahmed Yousef Almass, Acting Chairman, Qatar Ports Management Company, Neil Davidson, Senior Advisor – Ports, Drewry Shipping Consultants Ltd. etc.
Dr. Dissanayake who has served on the UN/UNCTAD Panel as an expert on Ports and Shipping has in the past held the positions of Chairman – Sri Lankan Ports Authority, Chairman – Jaya Container Terminals, Chairman – Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, Chairman – Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers – Sri Lanka branch and also Chairman of the Central Advisory Council of Sri Lanka Transport Board and a Co-Chairman of the Transport Cluster of the National Council for Economic Development.
