Pakistan and South Africa draw first test

DUBAI (Reuters) - Pakistan reached 343 for three in their second innings to secure a draw on the fifth day of the first test against South Africa in Dubai on Tuesday.

Scores: South Africa 380 all out (G. Smith 100, A. Petersen 67, H. Amla 80, J. Kallis 73) and 318 for two declared (H. Amla 118 not out, J. Kallis 135 not out).

Pakistan 248 all out (M. Hafeez 60, A. Ali 56; M. Morkel 5-54) and 343 for three (A. Ali 63, Younus Khan 131 not out, Misbah-ul-Haq 76 not out)
