Citibank and Nations Trust Bank have entered into a partner bank arrangement thereby further strengthening their existing relationship.
This new partnership provides network coverage and value addition to Citi clients, which will benefit both corporate, and non-bank financial institutions in the country through faster realisation of domestic collections.
Through this partnership Citi will provide enhanced services to their customer base through the continued increase of its geographical footprint in the domestic market. Citi clients will now be able to deposit funds at any of the Nations Trust Bank Branches located island wide.
An agreement signing took place at the Nations Trust Bank head office between Saliya Rajakaruna, CEO/Director of Nations Trust Bank and Glen Rase, Country Corporate Officer of Citibank Sri Lanka.
Commenting on the partnership Rajakaruna said: “This partnership will enhance convenience and accessibility to Citibank customers as they make use of our island wide branch network that allow them deposit facilities 365 days of the year, even after standard banking hours.
“We’re pleased to be associated with Citi in a partnership that offers our growing local geographic footprint to the global customer base of Citibank,” he added.
Rase, while echoing Rajakaruna’s sentiments, noted: “NTB together with its growing distribution network and electronic banking platform make NTB an ideal partner for Citi, as we continue to expand our delivery capabilities.”
