The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) is the only private sector Chamber which provides services exclusively to exporters.

The Chamber has a membership of over 450 export enterprises and service providers to exporters across all products and services sectors.

The Chamber provides a range of services to member companies, some of which are accessible by non-members as well.

A spokesman of the NCE states that among the services provided by the Chamber to exporters is the issue of Certificates of Origin (COs) and related documents required by buyers for export consignments certifying the origin of the goods based on certain criteria.  The Chamber is one of the few authorised Chambers by the State to provide this service and has been doing so for well over 10 years.  The Chamber issues COs both manually and digitally for those who wish to lodge their applications on line.  The Digital Certificates of Origin (DCOs) is a convenient means for exporters who obtain several COs at a time, since they could lodge their CO applications on line to enable the Chamber to process and have the certified documents ready for collection when the representatives of exporters call over.  The service is available to both members of the Chamber as well as non-members.

The NCE is known to provide this service to exporters in a most efficient and convenient manner without hassle or delays and the service is provided throughout the day from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. without a break, on all working days.  The Chamber has received commendations from those exporters who receive the service for the prompt attention given to them, which has resulted in an increase in the demand for this service from many exporters.

Those who wish to make use of this service may visit the web site of the Chamber www.nce.lk for more details or may contact the Secretariat on 2500316 or 2507704.
