MUNCHEE, the flagship brand of Ceylon Biscuits Limited, annually sponsors the Ridee Reyak Show as its contribution towards Sri Lanka’s film industry.

The ever-popular show is an extravaganza presented by country’s film stars collectively to raise funds for their medical insurance scheme. A special feature of the event is to present financial rewards for two deserving artistes. This year it was given to veteran film Director Titus Totawatte and yesteryear’s film star Leticia Peiris. The Munchee Samaga Ridee Reyak 8 show is scheduled be telecast over Rupavahini on Sunday 2 January 2011 from 9:05 onwards. Here group Director/Head of Marketing & Sales of Ceylon Biscuits Limited Nandana Wickramage hands over the sponsorship cheque to Cinestar Foundation Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa during the Munchee Samaga Ridee Reyak 8 Show held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium last week.
