MISC Berhad (MISC) and its partner Malaysia Shipping Corporation (MSC) have recently strengthened its Perdana Service with a signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU serves to improve the operational efficiency of the Perdana Service and enhance customer’s shipping experience within the region.
Under the terms of the MoU, the two shipping lines will continue to partner each other in operating the Perdana Service as well as work together to further enhance their presence in South East Asia Region. The two lines will operate individual loops in the Perdana Service, selected based on their capabilities and capacity, in order to best service the requirements within the designated loops. Both MISC and MSC will also enjoy space on each other’s service under a slot swap arrangement.
MISC will be operating the Perdana Service 1 (PS1) loop, which is served by MISC’s Bunga Mas 9 and Bunga Mas 10. The two vessels have an operating capacity of 650 TEUs with a weekly call to the following ports: Port Klang - Kota Kinabalu - Bintulu - Kuching - Singapore - Port Klang.
MSC will be operating the Perdana Service 2 (PS2) loop, which is served by MSC’s Salam Mesra and Kota Desa. The two vessels have an operating capacity of 380 TEUs with a weekly call to the following ports:
Port Klang - Kuching - Muara - Labuan - Singapore - Pasir Gudang - Port Klang.
MISC will also be operating the Perdana Service 3 (PS3) loop independently. This loop is served by MISC’s Bunga Mas 6 which is a fortnightly service with a capacity of 500 TEU. MSC has a structural slot purchase on this service, which calls the following ports: Port Klang - Tawau - Sandakan - Singapore - Port Klang
