Leo District 306 C1 joins hands with Cameron for Flamboyance 2011

“Flamboyance 2011”! The word itself conveys a promise of glitz, pomp and splendour. This is exactly what Leo District 306 C1 hopes to deliver through their charity fundraiser, held in order to raise funds for the construction of a Transit Home for the outpatients of the National Cancer Institute in Maharagama (NCI).

The grand show is scheduled to be held at Galadari on 30 January 2011.

Leo Clubs are the youth extension of the world’s largest non-government service club organisation known as “The International Association of Lions Clubs”. In total, more than 144,000 young people in 139 countries are proud to serve others in their local communities and to call themselves Leos. The Leo District 306C1, Sri Lanka of Lions Clubs International consists of 18 fully active individual Leo clubs with a membership of more than 350 young Leos. Every year valuable service projects are conducted by Leos which brings smiles to the faces of the poor, needy and downtrodden in our society.

Communication expertise to create awareness and set apart this event from others Leo district chose Cameron Pale and Medina Ltd, the pioneer of Inclusive Communication. Speaking of Leo District 306 C 1’s decision to tie up with Cameron and engage the expertise of this untapped marketing tool, District President, Leo Dileka de Silva said “Flamboyance 2011 is in aid of a worthy cause. Therefore we had to choose a strategy that was worthy of it to represent it to all parties concerned. As such there was no question as to who should handle the communications except Cameron”

Whilst top, experienced models take to the ramp in budding designers’ outfits, established designers will show off their collections using fresh talent. The grand show is scheduled to be held at Galadari on 30 January 2011.

All proceeds will be utilised towards building a transit home for the NCI outpatients, giving them a healthy, comfortable and sterile environment in which to recover from their treatments.
