A learning conference by HRP and SHRM titled ‘Managing the Multigenerational Workforce’ will be held on 25 August 2011 at 4 p.m. at Waters Edge.
A few HR practitioners who saw the need to create a vibrant network of human resource professionals seeded the HRP in a classroom at PIM way back in year 2000. From its inception, the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) was known to be innovative and futuristic.
The inaugural meeting of the Association of Human Resource Professionals was held at the Postgraduate Institute of Management on 4 October 2000. The Chief Guest was Mark Reade McKenna, The Asia Foundation Residential Representative for Sri Lanka.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Gerald D. Sentell, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Tennessee Associates International, a world leader in high performance management and change management.
Since then the HRP has never looked back. With the relentless aim of creating board room space for the HR function, establishing the HR professional as a business partner has been the mission of the HRP. The success of HRP’s efforts is evidenced today when every biennium top corporates of Sri Lanka vie for the National HRM Awards, the flagship event organised by the HRP.
HRP has introduced many innovative events and learning opportunities to develop the knowledge of HR professionals and strengthen the network. The IPMA (USA) certification programme, elective modules on human resource management at university level and annual conferences are some of the many initiatives of the HRP.
To mark the memorable event of a decade, the Association of Human Resource Professionals (HRP) together with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management proudly presents the ‘Managing the Multigenerational Workforce’ learning conference.
