SEOUL (Reuters) - Korean Air Lines Co Ltd said it had revised a purchase agreement with Boeing to take delivery of 10 787 Dreamliner aircraft starting from 2016, five years later than previously scheduled.
Boeing has said the first delivery of the long-delayed 787 Dreamliner is scheduled for the third quarter of this year, shrugging off concerns after a November electrical fire on a test flight threw the timing into doubt.
The revised timeline came after Korean Air held talks with the U.S. aircraft company on the delivery schedule for the long-awaited Dreamliner.
The world’s top freight carrier among commercial airlines will also spend 719.3 billion won ($634.6 million) to buy two Boeing cargo planes, the company added.
