Kandyan couture

International couture designer Georges Hobeika, known for his mesmerising shows in Paris and who recently made his initial foray into the Asian region with a charity fashion event in Colombo, again led the way in innovation, creating the world’s first couture Kandyan saree, which he presented to the First lady of Sri Lanka Madam Shiranthi Wickramasinghe Rajapaksa.
