HNB opens two customer centres in the east

Hatton National Bank opened two customer centres in the Eastern Province in Ninthavur and Pottuvil on the same day recently.

The newly opened were, HNBs 195th and 196th Customer Centres in the country.

Nihal Kekulawala, Senior Deputy General Manager – Strategy, declared open the customer centres amidst a distinguished gathering which included Rohan Thambirajah, Assistant General Manager - Network Management, Fizal Cassim, Member of Parliament and A. V. Beadle, Senior Manager – Eastern Region.

Speaking on this occasion the Chief Guest Kekulawala mentioned that HNB established its first Branch in Trincomalee in the Eastern Province on 27 September 1974 and the two new customer centres at Ninthavur and Pottuvil were being opened on the 36th anniversary of the Trincomalee Customer Centre.  He  stated that HNB has served the people of the East for the past 36 years even during the difficult times by providing banking services and also initiated a number of CSR projects which include providing proper sanitation facilities and drinking water in  the area and setting up libraries in needy schools.

With the opening of Ninthavur and Pottuvil customer centres HNB now operates 13 customer centres in the Eastern Province.
