Global Compact Ceylon Network forum on 15 Feb

The Global Compact Ceylon Network, the Sri Lankan arm of the UN Global Compact (UNGC) will be conducting an exclusive forum on 15 February from 5 p.m. onwards at the CIMA Auditorium, open for senior management, sustainability champions, the corporate and public sector.

The inaugural forum of a series, themed ‘Driving Economic Growth Sustainably’ will focus on Social and Environmental Sustainability for the corporate sector.

The Global Compact Sustainability Knowledge Hub is a quarterly workshops designed by the United Nations Global Compact Ceylon Network for business leaders to expand their knowledge and understanding, enabling the Sri Lankan Corporate, SMEs, NGOs and Government institutions to effectively implement strategies embedded in the UNGC principles strengthening the commitment of the institutions to the UNGC framework.  

The forum will feature Tom Hockley, Head of UN Resident Coordinator's Office and Senior Coordination Office-Recovery on ‘The UNGC and its Value to Business and Commitment to Sustainability,’ Reza Hossaini, Representative of UNICEF in Sri Lanka on ‘UNICEF Impacting Social Sustainability of Sri Lanka,’ Donglin Li, Country Director of ILO for Sri Lanka and Maldives on ‘ILO Contributing to Social Sustainability in Sri Lanka,’ Ravi de Silva, Consultant Social and Environmental Management at Aitken Spence Hotels on ‘Environment Sustainability in the Hotel Sector’ and Denver de Zylva, Associate Director at Virtusa Corporation on ‘Sustainability in the IT Industry’.
