Female farmers from north trained at CIC Farm

CIC Agri Businesses continues to provide formal and informal training to hundreds of farmers islandwide in its farms located at Hingurakgoda, Pelwehera and Talawa.

Recently a group of farmers from Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu comprising only females visited the CIC Seed Farm in Hingurakgoda for a training programme.

The group comprising around 20 females who have been resettled in the north had a firsthand look at some of the latest techniques adapted and practiced at the CIC Farm.

The group, which was very keen to acquire knowledge on different aspects of agriculture, showed great interest and enthusiasm as they were briefed by the officers of the CIC Seed Farm.

These farmers have already been allocated land in Kilinochchi and Mullaitivu and are looking forward to carrying out their cultivation soon.

CIC Agri Businesses also opened up two Agri Service Centres in Kilinochchi and Jaffna recently to serve farmers in the north.
