Fathuma receives prize money from YBI

Fathuma Nisreen, owner of Ramsi Fashion – a small bag and garment making business in Hambantota – has been named the winner of an international competition for young entrepreneurs organised by Youth Business International, a charity under a trust set up by the Prince of Wales.

Fathuma is a beneficiary of the Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) Youth Business Programme, which is the Hambantota arm of Youth Business Sri Lanka.

HDCC handed over her prize money amounting to Rs. 555,000 (US$ 5,000) which was received from the YBI on 11 December 2010, at the Southern Provincial Awards Ceremony of ‘Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year 2010,’ held in Hambantota.
