The National Construction Association of Sri Lanka on Friday held its annual awards recognising excellence in construction.
NCASL is the apex body of the construction contractors of Sri Lanka which has an active membership of more than 3,500 clustered into 9 provincial branches. The objectives of the Association is to foster promote and strengthen the member contractors of Sri Lanka to be in par with the global competitors.
The purpose of having the Construction Excellence Award is to recognise and motivate our construction companies to improve productivity, quality and the timely delivery to provide a value for money end product.
Today the Award Winners have proved that they possess the technology and the effective project management systems in their companies to achieve high standards in various sectors in the construction industry.
Some of the Award winners have already become on par with Sri Lanka’s international competitors in quality and productivity. With the experience the local companies have gained during the past 20 years and they are now in a position to venture into other countries in Asia to undertake construction projects.
“To encourage more companies to export our industry we are concerned about the quality and the standards of our industry. The Award Ceremony is one of the activities where we concentrate in promoting the construction firms to prove their capability in executing projects with high standards,” NCASL said.
