‘Excellence’ to the forefront with ‘I Eccellenza’ event

An individual plays a vital role in his or her undertakings in life. The ideology of a present day individual is to keep up with the pace and trends in and around him.

Therefore, as a result of keeping up with the pace, he will compare his horizon with his plan of success, as achieving and attaining ‘excellence’ is in the backdrop of every individual’s horizon.

As a group which is aspiring, the group of 2000 of Zahira College, Colombo will use ‘Excellence’ or ‘I Eccellenza’ as its theme for an event which will spark fusion and excellence in an aspiring individual.

The motive behind this groundbreaking initiative is to give a new dimension to professional development, by creating a platform which will comprise the helm of our society.

It is said that true leaders are rare! This is because the combination of skills, personality and ambition is essential in leadership and these are difficult to develop and exhibit.

The high tea event will take place on Saturday, 5 February, from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Atrium Lobby, Cinnamon Grand. Tickets are priced at Rs. 2,200 per person.

The following personalities will share their thoughts and experience on the subject at the event:

Ranjith Page: The main driver of Cargills’ phenomenal growth and its present day Managing Director of Ceylon Theatres Plc (CT), the holding company for many of its subsidiaries and associates including Cargills Plc.

Kishu Gomes: Currently holds multiple positions. He is the Country Chairman for Chevron’s Sri Lanka business operations and heads Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc and Chevron Ceylon Limited (a fully-owned Chevron company). He is responsible for Chevron’s Global Lubricants business in Bangladesh and the Maldives. Under Kishu’s leadership the company made a successful market entry into Bangladesh.

Dian Gomes: A Sri Lankan entrepreneur and corporate executive. The current Managing Director/CEO of MAS Intimates (Pvt) Ltd. and Slimline (Pvt) Ltd., which is a  subsidiary of MAS Holdings of which he is a Group Director. He is also a leading businesses figure in the island’s large apparel industry as well as the mercantile sector.

Santhush Weeraman: A classically trained vocalist and keyboard player, Weeraman is the emotional pulse behind the music of BnS which turned into being one of the most popular music brands in our country.

They will share their success stories at ‘I Eccellenza II’.
