Reuters - Boeing Co.  last week said it gained orders for 10 777s and lost orders for two narrowbody 737s in the week that ended 1 March.

Boeing said on its website that the 777 orders include two previously announced from TAM (TAMM4.SA)(TAM.N), Brazil’s largest airline. The other eight 777s were ordered by an unidentified customer or customers.

The 10 planes are potentially worth $2.84 billion at list prices.

Boeing, the world’s second-largest commercial plane-maker after Airbus, also declined to say who cancelled the 737 orders. Boeing Commercial Airplanes now has 17 net orders for 2011.

Customers cancelled more Airbus aircraft than they bought in January and February, leaving the world’s largest passenger jet maker with three net cancellations, Airbus said.
