BOC Mega Waasi – Season 2 final draw on 9 April

BOC Mega Waasi, the savings scheme offering the most valuable rewards in the country, rewarded over 12,500 customers of Bank of Ceylon with gifts worth over 202.6 million in 2012/13 under Mega Waasi – Season 1 and under draws one and two of Mega waasi – Season 2 in August and December 2013. After the successful completion of draws one and two Bank of Ceylon now, approaching the Mega Waasi season 2 final draw to reward further 1,554 customers with gifts worth over 46.4 million. This final draw is scheduled to be held on 9 April at the BOC Head Office premises with the patronage of BOC Chairman Air Chief Marshal Harsha Abeywickrama and the Bank’s General Manager D.M. Gunasekara and the Corporate Management of BOC. BOC Mega Waasi – Season 2 Final Draw offers a Kyron luxury jeep as the grand prize and and 10 brand new Micro Panda cross cars, three cash prizes of Rs. 1 million each, 20 gift packages worth Rs. 100,000, 40 tours to Bangkok and 1,480 gift vouchers of Rs. 10,000 each. Mega Wasi – Season 1 generated 9,828 winners and Mega Wasi – Season 2 will generate 4,258 winners altogether, which is the largest number of winners to be produced by a bank in one draw. Account holders with a minimum balance of Rs. 10,000 maintained in any savings or personal current account for a continuous period from 1 December 2013 till 31 March 2014 have qualified themselves to enter this draw. Those who had maintain multiples of Rs. 10,000 have earned a number of chances equal to the number of multiples of Rs. 10,000 maintained. These added benefits are offered apart from all other value added features of BOC Savings and Current accounts. In order to facilitate customer convenience, the bank’s main office now offers a 24-hour banking service that is available 365 days of the year. Its customer touch points include  617 branches; 527 ATMs, 861 foreign correspondent agents to remit money to Sri Lanka from anywhere in the world, 14 SME dedicated centres for entrepreneurs, mobile phone banking services, internet banking services, SMS banking services and premier banking services. Bank of Ceylon also facilitated Night Banking and offers Saturday/Sunday banking at selected locations as well as a 24 hour multilingual call centre facility. Bank of Ceylon earned global recognition as one of the top 1000 banks in the world, as listed by The Banker Magazine (UK) respectively in 2012 and 2013. The bank claimed its award as the only Sri Lankan brand recognised as one of the Asia’s Best Brands in 2013 by the Chief Marketing Officer’s Council (CMO Council) based in Mumbai, India. Bank of Ceylon recorded yet another hat-trick in 2013 at the National Business Excellence awards ceremony organised by the National Chamber of Commerce.
