BBDO has been named Network of the Year for the fifth consecutive year in the Gunn Report.
The Omnicom Group agency was followed by DDB, Ogilvy & Mather, Leo Burnett and TBWA in the world’s top five most awarded agency networks listing.
Representing Asia, Dentsu was listed as the third most awarded agency.
Ogilvy & Mather Singapore was also acknowledged for its print work for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. The ads ‘Hugs’, ‘Whale cow’ and ‘Freaky recipes’ made up the fifth most awarded print campaign in the world.
Asia did not feature among the five most awarded countries. The table was dominated by the US, followed by the UK, France, Sweden and Brazil. However, Japanese Uniqlo was among the world’s most awarded advertisers, which included Volkswagen, Nike, Ikea and Nokia.
The latest Gunn Report took into account awards shows from the last quarter of 2009 and the calendar year 2010. Going forward, the report will cover awards won in the calendar year from January to December 2010.
