A group of prospective British investors met Minister of Industries and Commerce Rishard Bathiudeen on Wednesday, while on a fact-finding mission in Sri Lanka.
Minister Bathiudeen highlighted the emerging opportunities in Sri Lanka in real estate, transport infrastructure, commercial properties and power generation – especially wind power. Among the current investment interests of the British investors back on their home soil are real estate including condominiums and shopping malls, electricity and wind power generation and other specific infrastructure projects. The Minister specially stressed on Sri Lanka’s emerging role as a manufacturing and logistics hub in the region to the visiting group.
