Access Engineering Ltd. was once again recognised for demonstrating excellence at the National Business Excellence Awards 2010, when it took away the award for ‘Best Knowledge Integrator’ – in view of consistently absorbing new knowledge and technology to create value at every level of its business.

This was the third consecutive year that the company was recognised at the annual awards in favour of its exemplary business practices, which have made a significant contribution to the socio-economic development of the country.

Commenting on this achievement, Christopher Joshua, Jt. Managing Director/CEO of Access Engineering Ltd., said: “Winning the award as the Best Knowledge Integrator at the National Business Excellence Awards amongst a nominee list of many other leading and respected business enterprises is an honour by itself.  For us, this win clearly reflects the commitment of our dynamic engineering team, in developing and implementing product and process innovations, providing our clients with innovative solutions for many multi disciplinary engineering projects.

“We wish to convey our appreciation and thanks to all our stakeholders and look forward to implementing many more challenging projects in the future, which will not only provide our team with an opportunity to further display their competencies and skills but will also contribute further to develop the infrastructure of our country and boost the standards of our industry.”

In addition to the award for Best Knowledge Integrator, Access Engineering also walked away as the Runner-Up in the overall Construction Sector for the third consecutive year.

Strengthening its vision “to be the foremost Sri Lankan business enterprise in value engineering,” Access Engineering has received many awards and accolades this year alone – including the only award given for Innovative Techniques in Construction at the National Awards for Construction 2010 along with four other national awards for construction at the recently concluded National Awards for Construction 2010.

Today, Access Engineering is an industry leader in many areas it operates and concentrates on co-areas such as roads and highways, bridges and flyovers, irrigation and land drainage, harbours and marine work, environment and waste management, water supply and waste water management, dredging and reclamation, piling and buildings as well as telecommunication infrastructure, etc.

It has many accreditations with seven ICTAD C1 gradings for various disciplines of construction and is recognised as a major and specialist contractor by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka.  The Institute of Engineers of Sri Lanka has accredited Access Engineering for training engineers for the Engineering Charter in disciplines of design and construction.
