Aashkii launches ‘Ritu Kumar’ in Sri Lanka

The well reputed and exclusive designer clothing store Aashkii is all set to launch the renowned ‘Ritu Kumar’ label for the very first time in Sri Lanka.

Aashkii has been proudly offering the Satya Paul brand for the past 4 years to a wide selection of designer wear loving clientele and is once again very proud to offer the local market yet another high caliber Indian designer range. Ritu Kumar is not only a designer collection that is limited to sarees alone but offers a wide range of very attractive blouses, skirts and dresses etc. giving prominence to modern western creations. The official launch will take place on the 13 December in order to better cater to the season. Daily FT spoke to Jaishree Parathalingam Jayesingha the Managing Director of Aashkii to find out more about their latest launch.

“Today sarees have been limited to more formal occasions however through our Ritu Kumar collection we offer easy to wear designs that can be suited up for any occasion. The Ritu Kumar designs come in very comfortable T-Shirt fabrics, cottons, crepes and voils, which are presented in a range of eye-catching colours”, says Jaishree.

In addition to this the store is hosting yet another very popular menswear collection which shows off the creative works of J.J Valaya under the popular ‘Valaya Quantum’ label. The Valaya range mainly specializes in bridal designs which comprise of very rich, heavily worked and elegant clothing selections for bridegrooms. Aashkii also offers a spectacular collection of ‘Valaya Quantum’ shirts which are offered in linens as well as cottons. The Valaya collection is famous for its intricately worked designs which are often adorned with shell and bead works. Valaya Quantum is an exclusive range of designer wear and will offer some breathtaking designs specially geared up for the festive season.
