6th SLIIT Research Symposium to focus on making Sri Lanka the future knowledge hub

THE  Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) will hold its annual Research Symposium for the 6th consecutive year on the 27th January at the Auditorium of the  institutes Campus in Malabe.

As in the past, this Research Symposium will be the foremost and far reaching symposium which will place focus on key aspects of state-of-the–art Information Technology and allied disciplines in Sri Lanka.

The SLIIT Research Symposium 2011 is conducive to pursuing the government's ICT goals and will be an open forum where academics and industry professionals will converge to discuss the latest issues and progress in the field of Information Technology. In addition, the symposium will publish a collection of high-quality research papers from the 5th Research Symposium's proceedings. The symposium, its publication and the associated chain of events are expected to trigger further research and technology improvements in this important subject area. The theme for the Symposium this year, “Innovative Research towards making Sri Lanka the future Knowledge Hub” centres on new research which will contribute towards making Sri Lanka a leading educational stronghold.

The conference and workshops of the SLIIT Research Symposium  2011 will focus on key issues and potential solutions in strategic research areas relevant to the core theme as well as relevant sub-themes. This is the only IT research symposium where registration is free for all participants.
