Roadshow by FCCISL, Global Network India on ‘Vibrant Ceramics Expo and Summit 2016’

untitled-1The ‘Vibrant Ceramics – Expo and Summit 2016’ Colombo seminar, which concluded on 6 October at The Kingsbury witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 50 people mostly consisting of importers and large distributors of ceramic tiles and sanitary-ware, builders, construction companies, architects and interior designers.

The welcome address was delivered by the co-host, Ajith Perera, Secretary-General, Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka, who explained that FCCISL is actively promoting the trade exhibitions in India to Sri Lankan businessmen. 

Speaking about the experience he had in participating in a number of Indian exhibitions in the past he said all the Indian exhibitions were of high quality giving a lot of business opportunities to participants. Further he requested the audience to take this opportunity to visit the expo and the summit for multiple benefits such as transfer of knowledge and finding buyers and business partners. The industry address covering salient features of Sri Lanka’s ceramic tiles and sanitary-ware industry was delivered by Kamil Husain, Secretary General of Tile & Sanitary-ware Importers Association of Sri Lanka.

Video message sfrom Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and from the Chief Minister of Gujarat state were shared which showcased the strengths of ceramic tiles and sanitary ware industry of Morbi in the state of Gujarat in India. The town of Morbi is the world’s second largest ceramic tiles manufacturing zone and the capital and nerve-centre of India’s ceramic tiles and sanitary-ware industry accounting for over 70% of India’s ceramics production. 

Jagat Shah, Founder President and Mentor of Global Network India, presented on Vibrant Ceramics Expo and Summit 2016, including details of specific pavilions and the international knowledge summit taking place from 16 to 18 December at Sabarmati river front in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

Shah also shared details on hosting of ceramics and sanitary-ware delegation from Sri Lanka to Vibrant Ceramics Expo and Summit 2016 including details of actual site visits to leading ceramic tile and sanitary-ware manufacturing factories of Morbi.

This seminar was organised by Global Network India and its partners in Sri Lanka – Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka with the support of Tiles and Sanitary Ware Importers Association of Sri Lanka.
