The construction industry in Sri Lanka covers and contributes 8%-10% of the GDP, as a leading stakeholder of the country’s economy. In all types of developments and construction, a system of ‘Project Management’ is led by a Project Manager who manages at top level in executing the work of the project, up to the bottom level of managing skilled/unskilled workers.
Eng. Ranjith Gunatilleke comes out with the “Project Manager’s Hand Book” for contractors, covering most of the essential required data, knowledge and practices. This document will assist and guide all budding project managers, to produce a quality product, in order to meet the aspirations of the consultants, clients, developers and investors.
Eng. Gunatilleke has been directly working in the construction industry of Sri Lanka, for well over the last 40 years. He has served many public and private organisations of the country to uplift the standards and practices in the construction industry, especially that of the contractor. “Project Manager’s Hand Book” is a simple document, which will make the engineer, ready access to practice as a ‘Project Manager’.
