In a concerted effort to promote physical and mental wellbeing during the pandemic, The Grand, Ward Place, the flagship property of Sri Lanka’s leading real estate group, has introduced ‘The Grand Wellness Circle’. The initiative gives communities free access to the proficiency of industry leading yoga gurus, renowned fitness instructors, and meditation experts in the country.

The first phase launched as ‘wellness week’ enables individuals to learn and draw from certified and professional trainers and experts. These virtual workshops are aimed at bringing mindfulness and physical balance during these challenging times. The inaugural session of the series was conducted with the legendry Guru Nanda Siriwardene, a Sri Lankan guru who has traversed the universe of Hatha Yoga, on 9 June.

The second session took place on 11 June as an active and entertaining virtual cross fit session with certified trainer Vic. Kodithuwakku, a sports performance coach and consultant, who is the co-founder of Onyx London, one of the leading fitness centres in the UK followed by another session on 13 June with Annie Au, who is an expert on the emotional side of yin yoga and Chinese meridians as well as the creator of Soulful Yin Yoga Teacher Program.

“We are excited to launch ‘The Grand Wellness Circle’ to offer a sense of relief and hope to our fellow Sri Lankans at a complex and uniquely challenging time period that has undoubtedly left its mark on us. Our team sincerely hopes that those who connect with our wellness circle will walk away feeling empowered, relieved and infused with positive energy, mental balance, and the strength to get through this time,” Prime Group Chairman Premalal Brahmanage said.

“The expertise and support shared during these sessions can be applied to our daily lives not just during this period but beyond this time as well. As a responsible corporate citizen, we will continue to invest in resources and initiatives that help uplift our communities across the nation,” he added.  Affording magnificent vistas of the Colombo skyline at a height of over 160 meters, The Grand Ward Place blends the best attributes of international architectural structure and design into 37 floors of ultra-luxury comfort and convenience. It has been crowned the tallest and only high-rise in the area and features Sri Lanka’s longest elevated infinity pool of 71 metres set at the height of over 125m.
