Marking another milestone in its journey of excellence, Prime Group announced the successful completion of work on the piling for its prestigious Ward Place residential complex, Prime Grand at the end July. Work on the 36-storey, 316 unit, ultra-prestigious property began on 6 December 2016 and is said to be on schedule for delivery by 2020.
With well-over 36 successful ongoing projects and 15 fully completed and handed over projects, Prime Group aims to set the benchmark for residential living with the landmark property, which brings together leading experts to deliver only the finest in craftsmanship and materials.
“The engineering team of Prime Grand continuously strives for innovation and quality at every step to ensure quality requirements are met. Our consultants adopted a four-tier system to determine the termination of the piles, while closely supervising to ensure the accuracy and quality of the piling work,” said Prime Grand Project Director Manjula Weerakkody.
Using a state-of-the-art fuzzy logic technique, each pile has been assigned a score. Of the 10 piles tested for integrity using PIT techniques, nine piles achieved the highest AA quality, while one pile received AB, which is still way above than the required minimum quality.
“Pile testing work is about to begin, which signifies the project is crossing another threshold,” he added.
The largest project to be undertaken by Prime Group so far, work on the superstructure of Prime Grand, Ward Place began in early August.
Among the many highlights of the landmark property are two dedicated podiums levels offering the ultimate in relaxation with pools (adult and child), a gym, badminton court and spa on level 5, while the ultra-exclusive 31st floor features the longest, elevated infinity pool in Sri Lanka. Seven private VIP lounges on the 32nd floor offer the utmost exclusivity and privacy for residents of the penthouses.
“Interest in Prime Grand has been overwhelming, and we are quite pleased with the uptake; approximately 50% of the living units have already been sold,” said Prime Group Chairman Brahmanage Premalal.
“We are justifiably proud of the new property, as it is not only the tallest apartment complex in Colombo 7, but is also the most prestigious apartment complex in the exclusive neighbourhood,” he added.
Pegged as “Colombo’s ultimate residential address of esteemed choice”, Prime Grand, Ward Place is undoubtedly set to become the most sought after location in Colombo.
