The Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka as the apex representative body of all the construction industry stakeholders, recognised by the Government, will hold ‘Build Sri Lanka Housing and Construction International Exhibition 2020’ from 2 to 4 October at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Centre BMICH.
This will be the 16th annual exhibition to be held and it will be on the theme ‘Re Build Sri Lanka’.
This Expo will be ceremonially declared open at 9 a.m. on 2 October by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, accompanied by State Minister of Rural Housing, and Construction and Building Material Industries Indika Anuruddha and State Minister of Urban Development, Coast Conservation, Waste Disposal and Community Cleanliness Nalaka Gadahewa.
The exhibition is expected to draw over 50,000 prospective visitors during the three days.
It comprises of six main segments such as Building and Construction Materials, Furniture, Interior Decor and Landscaping and Outdoor Living, Tools and Equipment, Construction and Consultancy Services, Construction Machinery and Industrial Vehicles and Overseas Exhibitors.
A special feature this time is the ‘Job Fair’ organised by the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Sri Lanka to recruit construction workers at all levels to the Chinese companies operating in Sri Lanka. These companies have many vacancies to fill.
