McOcean Property Developers Ltd., a member of the McLarens Group, has formed a 50:50 joint venture with Singapore’s Peak Engineering and Consultancy Ltd., to launch world class integrated facilities management solutions with the boom in apartments and other projects.

The joint venture, McPeak Lanka Ltd., intends to provide integrated facilities management solutions to a broad spectrum of the public and private sector institutions in the country. The company will offer a comprehensive range of cutting-edge solutions to those who seek to upgrade and sustain high-quality services capabilities of their organisations.

Singapore’s Peak Engineering and Consultancy is a leading provider of integrated facilities management, property management, operation and maintenance and consultancy services in Singapore. Operating across a fast-growing cross-section of industries and markets, Peak Engineering, with its entry into Thailand and Myanmar, continues to grow its portfolio and clientele with a host of prestigious clients in key sectors of the economies in which it operates.

McPeak Lanka will deliver an authentic integrated model of services, through a seamless integration of people, processes and systems to suit the customised needs and requirements of clients in commercial, industrial, retail or even in mixed development settings. The company’s services broadly encompass the operation and maintenance of large scale buildings, dedicated mechanical and electrical engineering expertise, holistic housekeeping and janitorial services, maintenance of common amenities, state-of-the-art security services and systems, responsive medical and concierge support, and a host of dedicated services, so as to offer integrated property management and administrative end-to-end solutions to user.

McPeak Lanka will hone in on over two decades of local experience in property and hospitality management of the McLarens Group with the innovation, professionalism, and service excellence in the effective management of residential, commercial, retail and industrial properties that is offered by Peak Engineering and Consultancy of Singapore. The new company provides highly trained engineering, security and janitorial cadres, backed by well-experienced managerial staff to ensure continuous and efficient service delivery.

The McPeak Team is capable of safe operation, monitoring, maintaining, servicing and retrofitting all electrical and mechanical systems within the built environment. Specialised IT tools and technologies, including cloud-based computer software and mobile apps, will be incorporated where necessary in order to increase management efficiency, while reducing operational and manpower costs. This allows McPeak Lanka to seamlessly upscale their services if the client is expanding the individual properties physically, or the overall business locations geographically.

McPeak Lanka Director Trevor Reckerman said: “With an ever-expanding skyline and more sophisticated vertical spaces, the need for high quality maintenance becomes a dire necessity. No more will ad-hoc patchwork remedies fit the scale of expensive and expansive property development, whether it be public or private sector institutions. We believe that the time has come for professional services in integrated facility management solutions that will give you, our clients, peace of mind.”

Singapore’s Peak Consultancy Founder and Managing Director Francis Chua said: “We are very proud and confident indeed to extend our services to Sri Lanka, which we see is growing rapidly, evidenced by the fast development of infrastructure and modern facilities. We are already in Thailand and Myanmar, and thus including Sri Lanka is a testimony of our growing portfolio across Asia, which is primed to be the next growth region geographically.”

McPeak Lanka and its parent organisations are extremely keen to create a strong performance differentiator in the local market, which goes beyond depending on reputation alone. Most facility management services in the country are fragmented and reliant on multiple vendors, who more often than not cannot sustain a high level of service. McPeak Lanka intends to overcome this hurdle by providing specialised training and psychological support to all its cadres, in order to improve their interactive capability and delivery challenges.

It will emphasise the best sustainability practices in the business, to ensure that its people and systems conform to the highest standards. The use of materials and processes will be certified, extending even to outsourced activities when compelled to do so. The company elaborated on its determination to help build the dignity of labour among its ranks, and help them recognise the benefits in protecting and nurturing the environments they operate in. Thus, the intent in providing holistic solutions is uppermost in our minds, McPeak Lanka Commercial Head Amiyu Kumudun noted in a very demonstrative presentation.
